Description

Green/black patterned irridescent silk taffeta with geometric stylized floral sprays (Oriental flavor); Bodice A) - cream silk chemisette with high boned collar, and embroidered with silver metallic thread highlighting peacock eyes and border; boned white satin bodice lining; "vest" effect of green patterned silk, with 3 straps over shoulder, horizontal straps with serpentine strap at front and around back; green/black net beneath "vest", and also used on sleeves at shoulder and cuffs; same strapwork on sleeves; white lace undersleeves; decorative black velvet buttons; snap and hook & eye closure at back; Skirt (B) - matching skirt - gathered at waist; waist lined with wide black grosgrain ribbon; band of strapwork with black velvet buttons (same as bodice) at hips; with flounce of green net below; slight train; back has panel of patterned silk from waist to hem, with green net insets; hook and eye and snaps at waist; weight band at front, inside, at strapwork. Collar (C): green net with black velvet trim and rosette - similar to cuffs; hook and eye.
