Purple & black striped silk; chemisette of cream filet lace w/ rose pattern & double collar extending to point at back. V-neckline; 3/4 sleeves w/ notched cuffs; filet lace undersleeves w/ 3 black velvet bands & bows at cuff; purple & black striped collar w/ pointed extensions which overlap belt & central beadwork applique. Scalloped peplum at back gives effect of vest or jacket; skirt has pointed train; asymmetrical hem/overskirt which drapes to left side w/ hook & eye closure. Box pleats at back; black taffeta lining w/ pocket/ boned bodice is lined w/ white silk; 3 rows of jet beads at sleeves, front "vest" & back of "vest". Central beadwork applique w/ large stylized flower w/ scroll motif; large black faceted buttons; dress shields.
