Description

Silk with horizontal bands of bright blue and cream; patterned vertical band of lampas; wide band; busy pattern with serpentines and areas of red ground with cream floral. Smaller areas of teal background with cream floral; some edged in red; dark blue areas with cream Persian characters. Brown and cream serpentine run along sides of pattern with scalloped border; smaller band is sectional repeat of larger band; tiny vertical ribweave stripe of red and cream. Waistband of same material lined with rust wool and darted; mid-calf hemline; two inch wide black velvet tie closure at back; waistline smocking at center front and back left and right.
