Description

Gold painted chair decorated with black gilt, and green painting. Frontal turned legs slightly raked below foot rest or frontal stretcher composed of two thin splats enclosing three decorative round balls. Two turned side stretchers on each side and one back flanked by simple turned legs. Saddle shaped caned seat with decorated seat rail with black oval enclosing a gilt oval. Raked stiles have similar decoration with a stylized leaf at the ears. Enclosed are a flat, thin lower slat, a middle splat of three thin pieces joined by round balls, and a wide crest rail decorated with a lyre, violin, and music book motif.
