Narrow strip of ingrain carpeting with selvage sides. Woven design of large flowers and portions of angular, multi-lined medallion on woven green and blue striped ground; stripes running from selvage to selvage. Colors: green, blue, orange and white.

Label

Label "Waiting for a Gallery" Ingrain carpet is a reversible, double-woven floor covering. The example with a diamond pattern, made in England, dates to the late 18th century; the other patterns were made in the United States about 1860. All three were found in the same house.
