This fan is constructed from an ivory-colored paper leaf printed on recto in shades of pink, red, white, yellow and brown depicting an indoor scene of figures in late eighteenth to early nineteenth century dress. Verso is painted grey. The sticks are ebonized bamboo with ivory guards decorated with painted gold insects, held with a metal rivet.
