Description

Black satin shoes with raised soles; gold wrapped thread and spangles are couched in place in floral trail pattern with looped border; pink silk thread (around opening) is woven in basketweave; platform is of layers of felt painted white; leather sole and inner sole with cotton lining. These were specifically for outdoor wear by Manchu women, who did not bind their feet.
