White sheer cotton; diamond-shaped crown divided into 4 smaller diamonds with lace inserts; left & right diamonds are tucked; front & back diamonds are drawnwork making a checkerboard, with backing on alternate squares inside crown; crown edged all around with eyelet band & trimmed with lace ruffle; brim trimmed with 3 rows of lace; ruffle at neck trimmed with lace insert & 3 rows of tucks & edged with lace; broad lace-edged self ties.
